Summary:
Tony
Farmer, a High School senior and one of the top 50 high school
basketball players, was sentence to three years in prison. He went from
total popularity to being behind bars. What happened is Farmer was
declared guilty for robbing, kidnapping, assault, etc. He would of
gotten a college basketball career if he hadn't done all those crimes.
His reaction to his 3-year sentence in the courtroom was total
unhappiness and he almost cried. No one will ever feel good about doing
bad and that's exactly what happened with Tony Farmer, if you're doing
what's wrong you will never get away with it.
Reflection:
What
happened to Farmer made me feel that it is unbelievable that such a
great basketball player could end up in prison for three years. His
dream of becoming a great college basketball player in the future was
crushed by doing what's wrong. I believe that to this punishment it can
happen to any who decides to follow his footsteps and their dreams can
be crushed as well. If you do what's right then you won't feel bad, but
you will feel pride and instead of punishments you get rewards and also
pride.
